I am reading an interesting book called The Wake where a "ghost" version of Old English is used - it has much of the feel and some of the words of Old English but can be read by the modern reader with a bit of effort. I find I can slip into it quite easily if I have no distractions, so therefore have made it only a short way in since I live with a plentitude of distractions. I like it so far and find this choice of translation and language structuring very interesting.
