I think last night's dream had to be a Symbolic Dream, although I haven't quite deciphered it yet. That is, the basic dream could be a straightforward representation of my Life-Cleaning, but that other item ....

I, and several others, were in the process of cleaning up a multi-room dormitory suite (very much like the one I spent half my sophmore year in) because we were supposed to live there but the previous occupants had not only left all their stuff there but had left it an absolute mess. So we were sorting through personal possessions, figuring out which furniture to keep and which to replace, and starting to paint the walls. And almost in passing in the cleaning process we (or maybe it was just me) came across the corpse of an infant that had been hidden in a dresser drawer. And, as is usual in dreams of this sort, I then spent a fair amount of energy creating plausible deniability so that I wouldn't have to deal with the consequences of finding it.

So the lingering question is: what's the dead baby that I'm currently ignoring? Dream-corpses are generally fairly obvious, but I haven't pin-pointed a good candidate this time. And are the dream-cockroaches from the other night tied in with this at all?

Fascinating -- I think the interpretation of "cleaning" matches well with how I'd interpret it. The corpse interpretation is a bit more personal an idiosyncratic -- see a previous detailed discussion on this topic (http://hrj.livejournal.com/13330.html). (I don't know if you read that one the first time around.) It's possible that the corpse maps to needing to get in contact with my painting contractor about getting started on the next stage of that job. If fits the standard characteristic of something that I tend to forget about from day to day but that has some time-related constraints. And it would fit nicely with the whole scenario of "dealing with stuff".

The memorable part of the cockroach dream was that I was trying to sweep them out of the room (which had about as much effect as using a broom on actual cockroaches would) but as I swept, they'd fly off in little swarms and either settle back into the corners or move on to someone else's space.
