5 Things Make a Post

1. I had some of the first plums of the season today in a sort of plum crumble. Unfortunately, these were the windfalls and squirrel-falls so they weren't quite as ripe as they might be, hence the processing into baked form. (Otherwise they wouldn't get any further than simply being washed before getting eaten.) I'll see what else is ripe on Wednesday before leaving for the War. It would be just my luck to have them all go ripe while I'm gone.
2. Burglar alarm will be installed sometime tomorrow morning. I'm once again glad that I have an understanding boss and bendable work hours. It does, however, mean that I'm not going to make it to
etaine_pommier's sewing night tomorrow because I'll be working into the evening.
3. It is somewhat disturbing how much food I'm packing for this event. There better be a lot of hungry passers-by for the Playdate. I probably could have left more of the shopping for after I get up there. They do have grocery stores in Oregon, after all. But I dislike leaving things to chance, so I've gotten pretty much everything except the highly perishables (eggs, milk, cherries, bread, seafood).
4. I got to spend most of the day at work squeezing data trends out of SAP and plotting them in various ways. Reminder to the universe: the field for "production date" is there for a reason. One of those reasons is when performing a search on all material produced during a given time period. Don't make me open an Incident on you!
5. Apparently I'm doing a good enough job of going paperless at home that I need to generate printer test printouts periodically to avoid having the ink dry up in the nozzles. It's very annoying to replace an ink cartridge and be able to hear it sloshing inside.
